How much notice do I need to give to order a cake?
For Celebration Cakes, the latest we can accept orders is as close as 2 days before - this only applies for simple designs, and is subject to an express fee (determined by discretion). Orders can be placed as early as a few months before. Full payments are due at least one month before your event. If an order is placed within a month of your event, full payment will be required to secure the booking.
For Wedding Cakes, orders can be placed a year in advance, up to 2 months before your wedding. A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to secure your booking on confirmation of order details - your booking will be held for 10 working days, after which it becomes available to other clients if deposit remains unpaid. The balance of which (50%) is due one month before your wedding.
Do you deliver across the UK, and what is the minimum spend?
Yes, we do. For deliveries within London, the minimum spend is £85, excluding the delivery fee. For deliveries outside London, the minimum spend is £200, excluding the delivery fee. The latter is subject to change depending on proximity. Once your cake has been delivered, we will not accept liability for any damage sustained to your cake.
Can clients collect their cakes?
Yes, from West Ruislip or Ickenham Underground Station (all week), or Swiss Cottage (on Sundays, up till midday). Once your cake has been collected, we will not accept liability for any damage sustained to your cake.
Do you provide gluten free and vegan cakes?

Do you offer tastings?
Yes, for Wedding Cake Consultations. Each couple can taste any 4 Hegai Cakes' flavours of their choice. Please see "Consultations" for more info.
Can I cancel my order and what is the cancellation period?
For Celebration cakes, cancellations are acceptable 3 weeks before your event. A later cancellation will result in a forfeit of 50% of your payment - the other 50% will be refunded to you.
For Wedding Cakes, cancellations are acceptable 2 months before. A later cancellation will result in a forfeit of the balance of your payment (within a month from your wedding), as well as your non-refundable deposit.
Do you provide a set up for cakes or sweet/dessert tables?
Yes, for Wedding Cakes, a beautiful table cloth, a cake stand and a knife server set, are also provided. These are to be returned in perfect condition within a week post wedding. A deposit of £30 is required if these items are supplied, and this will be refunded on receipt of items in the delivered condition, otherwise (for damages including chips, breakages, cracks, stains, rips/tears & dents) your deposit will be forfeited. Please contact us for other setup arrangements, such as flowers and tealight candles.
